刘通,男,特聘副研究员,1987年出生于河北省石家庄晋州市。主要从事蛇绿岩和混杂岩的成因、大洋岩石圈形成机制以及特提斯地球动力学等方面的研究。主要学术成果包括:1)准确厘定了西藏日喀则蛇绿岩的超慢速扩张脊成因,提出蛇绿岩的多样性主要受控于洋脊扩张速率和岩浆供应量;2)通过Re-Os和Lu-Hf同位素的研究,在新特提斯缝合带代表性蛇绿岩中识别了古老超亏损地幔的存在,提出新特提斯软流圈的高度不均一性,为蛇绿岩形成环境以及大洋壳-幔关系提供了新的解释和研究思路。目前主要关注超慢速扩张脊洋壳增生过程和软流圈不均一性的成因。迄今总共发表论文22篇,其中以第一作者身份在GCA、CMP、G-Cubed和CG等国际地学主流SCI期刊上发表论文9篇。
