旺罗,副研究员。1968年出生于西藏白朗县。1990年毕业于中国地质大学(武汉)获学士学位,1997年毕业于中国地质大学(北京)获硕士学位,2000年毕业于中国科学院地质与地球物理研究所获博士学位。以硅藻为主要研究手段,长期从事第四纪古全球变化的研究。1)发现大融水事件(MWP-1A)对应的冷事件,并命名为大融水冷事件(MCE);提出大融水冷事件导致北极冰盖停止融化,阻断淡水注入北大西洋,导致Bolling井喷式增温(PP. 2022);2)发现新仙女木时期强降雪,提出持续大量的降雪提供的淡水导致新仙女事件持续千年的新机制(JGR,2018);3)提出新仙女木时期热带复合带南迁滞留时间是导致低纬度地区大幅度降水变化的原因,而非南迁幅度(JGR,2018);4)开拓研究古风场的新手段,重建了15000年来冬季风的演化历史,提出冬季风自早全新到晚全新世是减弱的新模式,为探讨冬季风在南北两半球季风演化中的作用提供了关键性证据(QSR,2012);5)从季节变化的视角探讨全球增温,提出中世纪暖期夏季比20世纪暖期夏季持续时间长的新观点(QR,2012);6)提出湖泊藻类内部种群结构变化对湖泊有机碳同位素变化的重要作用(OG,2013);7)建立黄土高原上新世古植被演化序列,提出黄土高原干旱的环境格局至少自上新世开始已经建立(2006,PPP)。发表文章50余篇。主持6项国家自然科学基金项目。 - 1986.9 - 1990.7,中国地质大学(武汉)地质系,古生物,学士
